The Universal House of Justice

Involvement in the Life of Society

Bahá’u’lláh counselled His followers: “Be anxiously concerned with the needs of the age ye live in, and centre your deliberations on its exigencies and requirements.”1 As such, Bahá’ís throughout the world—both individually and collectively—strive to become involved in the life of society, working shoulder to shoulder with divers groups to contribute to the social, material, and spiritual advancement of civilization.

This section contains letters and documents—written by the Universal House of Justice, prepared under its supervision or otherwise published with its approval—which describe the vision that inspires the efforts of the Bahá’í community in this regard and explain the approach that it adopts.
